Today, my aunt came into the world. My 67 year-old grandfather married a 24 year-old woman who just gave birth to my new aunt, who is 18 years younger than me. FML

So? I've got a brother who's 26yrs younger than me and 3 years younger than my daughter (his niece) if your uncle can get a girl that much younger than him let alone get her to marry him and have kids good on him!!! It doesn't change your life! If it was your girlfriend giving birth to his kid then fair enough! But it ain't so quit moaning you selfish, childish idiot!

Wow, judge much? I'm a 22 year female getting ready to marry a 41 year old guy. Does that make me a gold digger? Nope. He and I are in the same field of work (law enforcement). Now, granted, he does make more than me, but he's been at this for 12 years so... yeah. Not everyone that marries a guy older than her is a gold digger, though I've seen plenty of women who are. No, the grandfather is not a pedophile; he's a guy who attracted a young woman. Get the **** over it. Bet you wouldn't be saying the same thing if it was a much older woman and a younger guy. And my father was 48 when I was born, and our family life was pretty normal. He did all the dad things with me, and his age was never an issue. So for all you people saying that they're subjecting their children to an unfair childhood, here's a big frosty glass of STFU. Bottoms up!

Congratulations. But I'm pretty sure they ARE subjecting their kid to an unfair life/childhood. The father is going to reach his life expectancy when the kid is a preteen. Does that seem fair to you???? Not to mention the arguably awkward family life. Your case sounds much more reasonable, and you don't sound like a gold digger. However, I find it a bit odd that you think it is fair and normal to have a kid then kick the bucket long before they are grown...

It's not the same. The man you are marrying is not old enough to be your grandfather, and any child you have will probably not loose their father to old age by the time they are 11. And these types of things do happen sometimes when parents have another child late in life when their previous children have children, but this is much more extreme than that.

if she's hot, you can go after her instead

okay the marrying thing is really disgusting, but the niece thing isn't, just when she's older don't tell her that your her niece.

"Concentrate," hissed Zaphod, "on his name." "What is it?" asked Arthur. "Zaphod Beeblebrox the Fourth." "What?" "Zaphod Beeblebrox the Fourth. Concentrate!" "The Fourth?" "Yeah. Listen, I'm Zaphod Beeblebrox, my father was Zaphod Beeblebrox the Second, my grandfather Zaphod Beeblebrox the Third..." "What?" "There was an accident with a contraceptive and a time machine. Now concentrate!"

How the hell is that any business of yours?? How does it affect you, exactly? Oh right, it doesn't. Get over it! How other people choose to live their lives is their prerogative. This is not an FML.

OK. If no one else is really going to say it, I will. You need to go congratulate your uncle on his aim. I pray when I'm 67 years old that I still have the game required to net a 24 year-old AND knock her up. That is impressive.
