Today, my boss asked to use my phone since the company pays for it. A few hours later the same boss called me into his office to fire me. Apparently the company checks the phone records and found a call made on my cell to a sex line. My boss made that call and just fired me. FML

Today, my boss fired me for "fooling around" on my phone. I was looking for supplies for a surprise party we are throwing him for his birthday, and I didn't want to do it on my work computer because he has access to our history. Also, this happened during my lunch break. FML

Today, my boss was angry at me because I had filed a complaint about him refusing to change our phone service to something more reliable. Later, a customer called him and said I had hung up on him. I got fired. I didn't hang up on the customer, the phone service just dropped the call. FML

Today, I overheard my boss talking about me on the phone. Turns out he was drunk off his ass when he gave the go-ahead to hire me, and he's now searching for any excuse to legally fire me. FML

Definitely look into reporting him...know any higher ups you can talk to? Dude's clearly got issues if he would go to that extent to call a sex line on an employees phone and then let them get fired over it.

You know a lot of companies have other employees to look at the phone calls of the smaller division. So it's like this: for every 100 people in the smaller division is 1 person monitoring the numbers the company phone dials. So yes it is possible.

You should get like a recorder or something and go talk to him. Confront him. Ask him why he called that hotline. Then if you get him to admit and say sorry... sent it to human resources.
