Love being wrongly accused. Don't we.
You can't fix stupid.
Take the initiative to solve the problem yourself. Have business cards made on your own dime, put your correct phone number in your signature for business emails. Get a statement of incoming and outgoing calls from your phone for the past three months from your phone service provider and keep it as evidence of your boss's incompetence on the subject.
Sounds like something Michael Scott would do
Sorry OP that sucks. Maybe invest in some business cards with the correct phone number? ;P
I don't think I've ever had a boss that wasn't like that OP. I think we all can relate to that in some way, keep your head up.
Find out who has the number he has been giving out. If it's someone else in the company, see if you can trade phones. If it's not someone in the company, see if they are willing to sell you the number. It is possible to get multiple phone numbers connected to the same phone.
Better yet, she should just switch names with the person receiving the calls! We're on a roll! High five
What a jackass
"Hey, I just met you, and this is craaaazyy, so here's my employee's number, blah blah blah..." 10 minutes later: "saxophooone"
Yeah.... No

Oof. Don't you hate it how people blame you for their own mistakes? Sorry OP! Hopefully it gets fixed :)
Sorry OP, but you need to sit him down and explain it to him slowly and then hope he gets it.
