How is it not sarcasm?
Don't work for your dad then!
Hahaha
Well now you can sue him for unfair dismissal
That's sexual harrisment.
Even though he's your dad, learn proffesionalisn...... You are supposed to be at work
Maybe I'm thinking outside the box here, but if people at work knew you were related and you gave him a hug, he really shouldn't have made a big deal about it. If they didn't know you were related, than i don't think the other employees would make a big deal out of it. it looks like he was ashamed to let people know you are his daughter.I know you were at work, but you should still talk with your dad about it, because I interoperated it as he was ashamed to let people know the family connection thus over reacting and firing you. Either way, FYL firing you was messed up when all he could've done was give you a warning. But maybe I'm over analyzing this.
Your "dad" is a dick, tell your mom to cut him off for a month for firing you
He was probably afraid of being accused of nepotism. Most companies have policies against relatives or spouses working in the same department to try to reduce HR issues and nepotism.
