I had a bad manager like that, but ten my bosses decided she sucked as a manager and demoted her! But my point is sooner or later that managers dishonesty will catch up to him/her! You know karma and all that

I'm not entirely sure whether these cards are handwritten or on the computer, but it does kind of remind me of my old job, where each caller's information would be logged. There was a spot for "notes" on each one. Some of those notes that would come up would be rather....interesting. Informative, I suppose- after all, who doesn't need to know when "dis n*gga writes BAD CHECKS!!!!" Your boss is a dick for not manning up about what he did, though. Did the customer in question see it? Upper management? Ugh. Either way, I'm sorry.

I had a boss who fired people left and right. Once she fired someone (who had only been there 2 weeks) because the store didn't open one day, she never told her she needed a key or even gave her one, when we realized no one had a key we tried to contact her and anyone else who would eventually we just left. but to cover her ass because head office was pissed she fired her... Bosses suck and sometimes you have to live with them

Your boss needs to chill the **** out. Not just for refusing to accept his/her own mistake, but also for bitching about the customer. I believe it's the customer's decision to have the samples, as it is the employee's job to make the customer happy. If she's fat and wants to make herself fatter on the samples, let her! It's her problem, not yours.
