Hi guys! I'm the OP :) I'm 19, and my boyfriend's 20. I thought LotR was better, personally. To be fair, I've only seen one of the Star Wars movies, and he's only seen half of one of the LotR movies, so we were both a little biased. This was last night though, and by the morning, it was forgotten. We're all good now. Thanks for your comments! :)

both set of films are great but they are also different in their own ways. no sense is aguring about it. it's star wars though.

Lord of the Rings!!! I like Star Wars but Lord of the Rings is just so much more elite- the movies, books, writing style, languages, characters, storyline, plot, fandom, need I say more? And the actors (RIP Christopher Lee) are so much more talented than the Star Wars cast. Anakin was a fail.

Not even a contest, it's obviously Star Wars. Give Frodo and company light sabers and see how they slice through the enemy without breaking a sweat. Now give Luke Skywalker a ring that makes him invisible and see how far it get's him.
