Today, my boyfriend informed me that the mother of his children, from whom he is not divorced yet, is moving back into his house because she broke up with her boyfriend and has nowhere to go. FML

I believe the technical term for that woman is, um, . . . wife.

Come on y'all. I know most of you have never been through a divorce (neither have I) but when you have kids with someone, you'll have a link to them for life. Not an emotional one necessarily, but literally you're going to have to interact with them a lot as long as your kids are minors. If you're uncomfortable with your boyfriend interacting with his soon to be ex-wife, then end it now, because it's not ever going away.

Well for one, it's HIS house, and he DOES have a family. Second, he's married and you know that, what were you expecting?!?!???

People saying OP shouldn't be mad and her boyfriend is a great guy for doing that are delusional. Do you really think nothings going to happen when the wife moves back in? Taking the kids in is important but if he really didn't want to be with the wife he would tell her to find a place of her own.

Sounds like a love triangle to me...

Op never said the mom took the kids when she left. Kinda sounds like selfish mom left everybody and moved in with a dude who dumped her ass. Of course he shouldn't let his ex move back in, mother of his kids or not! I've seen this situation play out 3 times (yeah I know, my friends are losers) and each time, the wife started screwing the husband again just to get rid of the new girl.

I hate to say it but that's not your boyfriend.

Your most likely the rebound and since they are still technically married theirs a very high chance they will change their minds about splitting up for good. It's your choice whether you want to stay with him or not but from what I've seen your better off breaking it off and finding a guy whose single without any extra baggage.

Well have a merry Christmas ! And tell Santa to find you another man because she's not leaving , don't waste your time or another minute on him. And be thankful you didn't buy him anything for Christmas !
