You can contract an STD with the use of a condom. If any fluid or if any skin contact that is affected touches her she can potentially be infected. STD's affect everything down there, not only the penis.

I agree! If you're gonna sleep around, make each guy prove he's clean first. But there's more to sex than pleasure or reproduction. So many people have sex on the first or second date, which is just sad.

I see your point but I agree with #45. It's possible that OP's boyfriend would have neglected to tell him/her about his STD even if they'd waited for a year or more before having sex. Having a talk about STDs and getting tested is the smart thing to do. (Although I guess it's a bit different in this guy's case because he's already been tested and still didn't tell OP). My point is that someone could have an STD no matter how long you wait before having sex with them.

My husband and I both got tested when we started dating and were in the room together when our doctors told us the results. This way there is no chance of deceit from either party.

What does this have to do with having sex "early on"? This guy sounds selfish and manipulative - you don't just "forget" that you have an STD before having sex with someone. I don't see any reason to believe OP would have avoided this if she had waited longer before having sex. If he lied now (or lied by omission) why do you think he would tell the truth later? When or how soon someone chooses to have sex is a personal decision. To each their own - don't try to make people feel bad for making different choices than you would.

The only waiting I did when it came to my husband was waiting for his test results. He was pretty sure he was clean but did it anyway because that's what responsible adults do. So in that respect, yup waiting is good.

Unless he has HIV, you are incorrect. You dont have any legal responsibility to tell your partner you have an STD (except HIV as I said)

What a DICK. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to knowingly give someone an STD without telling them beforehand. You should look into that. He didn't "forget" he just wanted to have sex with you and knew you'd refuse if you knew he had an STD. Selfish asshole.

If you are comfortable enough with someone to get naked and have sex you should also be comfortable enough to have a talk about std's. You don't deserve it but hopefully you don't get anything from him and learn your lesson on this.

I agree, maybe he "forgot" to tell you, so why didn't you do your part and ask if he had any STDs?? ALWAYS talk about this before having sex with someone!! And use protection. That's why it exists.
