First time posting, yay. That aside, you guys had just started dating (im assuming), so yeah, he could date other people. If you guys had dated for years, and made it clear you were in an exclusive relationship, that would be another story. The dice thing, yeah thats weird, and not a very nice thing to tell you. But, most likely he just thought it was funny since it was such a dumb thing to do, and he wouldnt do something like that again. AND, considering youve been dating for 3 years, clearly the relationship is working. So what if the reason he decided to go steady with you was pure chance. Blind dates, internet dating sites, meeting people in online games, all are weird in their own way. And #12, seriously... youve never done ANYTHING stupid in the past. He wasnt cheating on her, he just chose who to go steady with in a childish way. Clearly he is a horrible threat to this world who should never date anyone again. Get past the fact he dated other people at the beginning of your relationship, thats what people do. You should date around

Well, seeing as this girl posted this up on FML she's clearly upset by it. He wasn't just dating the other girls, he was sleeping with them while still seeing the OP. That's still not being fair to her, who thought that he was dedicating his time to her only.

dating does not mean exclusive. It means dating, so you can also be seeing, and sleeping with, other people until you decide to be exclusive. and rolling a dice wasn't very smart, but maybe they were all great people and he honestly couldn't choose between them. geez, sounds like theres a lot of kids on this site what with all the "hes a douche", when its not cheating because they were not exclusive. whats with kids these days and thinking that you have to be friends or exclusive with no inbetween?

wth??? when did dating become sample buffet???? gosh....when you're dating someone..there shouldn't be a time period until it's exclusive. When you tell somebody that you're going to be their boy/girlfriend you're making a commitment to them to stay faithful until you break up. if people nowadays have to have five girlfriends/boyfriends at the same time in order for them to decide who is the right person....then yes...ftl for being so inconsiderate. This is how STD and crap get spread around because people are all over the moon all at the same time. At least if he had been dating them separately and got some nasty disease he could have been diagnosed before he got to the next girl. i find it hard to believe that you can form a truly intimate healthy relationship while you're sampling other people at the same time. She was just lucky he decided to roll a die and didn't keep them all...

Dating does not mean that you are boyfriend/girlfriend. Dating means that you are going on a dates. It does not become exclusive until the two of you make it that way. That's how dating works, that's how it's worked since dating became standard instead of arranged marriages happening.

Rofl at #45. They don't know the difference between dating and actually being in a relationship with someone, calling them "boyfriend" or "girlfriend". Dating: Thing you do before you officially go out with someone. You normally date someone for weeks to get to know them. Boyfriend/GF: After you 2 have dated and decided to commit.
