u think thats low?? My gf dumped me when she found out i had cancer (which i was thankfully able to beat..) Her excuse? She had better things to do in life then deal with the depression i might go into because of my illness.... "i need a shrink not a friend/gf" were her parting words...

At least he had the decency to end it instead of stringing you along and in the long run, hurting you even more. You can't help who you fall in love with, but yeah, it definitely does suck :/

Move on with your life. Breakups hurt but they happen. If you get in the pool you are going to get wet. The alternative is to sit home alone, pet your cat and watch TV with a bag of chips and ice cream. Doesn't that sound like a life worth living? Besides, you all are better off now. He was just not that into you. He probably never was or the relationship had run it's course (at least for him). Forget about this guy and move on. Your other choice is to wallow in this situation. Move on... and down the road this becomes a great story.
