Today, my boyfriend of three years sent me a text message saying "It's over!". I sent him maybe a thousand texts saying "Why?", "What do you mean?!" After an hour of crying and whatnot, I realized he had driver's education today and that he was saying the class was over. FML

That is why I hate texting. It's bad enough young people these days think u alwys hav 2 spel lik ths or ur stupd, and they get themselves killed while driving, but you can get confused by other people's messages and end up a mess like this.

Sounds like you're very insecure in your relationship.

Should've asked him what he was talking about.

okay, I'm sure she didn't literally send him 1000 texts, but even if she did, she had the right to ask why, and she deserved an answer if he really was breaking up with her.

true, but even if she sent 20 texts, that is way overkill. If he didn't get back with her for days i get texting him again and again. but give the guy time to look at his phone....

................I think she exaggerated when she said 1,000 texts. It's called a hyperbole.

Hey look at you passing middle school English

what did we learn today? we learned to not flip out and stop to think about things before we text back.

Expectations are the cause of all depression.

It's understandable to be very worried when you think someone you care about doesn't want to be a part of your life anymore, but I don't understand why you assumed that that was the case? After three years, you think you'd be a little more secure with your relationship than that (not necessarily your fault). If that happened to me, I'd just assume that he meant to send the text to someone else or something like that

How insecure do you have to be about your relationship to have a breakup be your first assumption?
