Today, I invited my boyfriend to come to an event to meet some of my friends for the first time. I had been raving about him for weeks, and everyone was curious to meet this "amazing guy" I'd been dating. He showed up in a Darth Vader costume because he thought it would be funny to embarrass me. Today, my boyfriend took me to dinner. There was a beautifully decorated table with rose petals and a huge bouquet and he told me he had ordered all this for me. I'd never felt so special. That is, until I had to get up for the couple whose table it actually was. FML

Today, I sat through 9 gruelling hours of Star Wars with my boyfriend. I hate those movies with a passion and frankly would rather get a pap smear from Wolverine than watch them. Afterwards, he dumped me for yawning, saying that I didn’t take a “serious” interest in his favorite things. FML

I really don't care for starwars myself.. but i would try to make it fun! I mean like.. get him to tell you all about it.. enjoy him in his element and just try to have fun... that is... if he ever does it again.

Yeah, it kinda sucks, but most guys don't know how to be romantic... so he's being romantic in his own way by taking you somewhere he likes. I think it's rather sweet, actually, though my hubby is a Star Wars/Trek nerd and I absolutely can't stand that crap. =/
