Today, my boyfriend snuck into my house and hid in my closet. Knowing that I have a phobia of people jumping out of closets, he nonetheless thought it would be funny to see how I'd react. I had a panic attack and was taken to the hospital. FML

Today, I finally told my boyfriend that I see a therapist every week because, amongst other things, I'm terrified of being locked in a room. He didn't believe me, so he locked me in the bathroom "for a laugh." I had a panic attack and passed out. FML

Today, when I got up for work, I went into the bathroom and saw a coat hanger sitting in the crack of the window. I had a panic attack, thinking someone had tried to break in and grabbed a knife. I ran into the room where my boyfriend was sleeping and he said he put it there. FML

Today, I was woken up by the sound of someone in my room. I started freaking out, thinking someone had broken in, so I kicked them, only to realise it was my boyfriend coming back from the toilet. I'd forgotten he was staying over. FML

Sorry, OP! Panic attacks suck. It sounds like your panic attacks are pretty severe if you had to be taken to the hospital, though...You might consider seeking help for that. It's certainly helped me!

you can't really compare your experiences with op's since yours are and can be considered normal while op's, considering both facts of a phobia and an actual visit to the hospital, change the situation. op your bf is a complete idiot thinking it would be "funny" to do the very thing you got a phobia of. You better dumb his ass unless you enjoy having panic attacks every now and then. He doesn't consider your condition as serious as it can get.
