Not an FML. Really appropriate, and probably extremely touching for the family.
Not an FML. If I were there, I'd be touched, as I'm sure everyone there was. you totaly just made your way into the family.
So what? That's one of the best things: playing the favorite song of the deceased one at his funeral. Would you rather play something he hated? All in all, you are there to honor HIS memory not someone else's. Don't worry about it.
Well it's actually called a wake not a reception, but yeah. I'm sure they would have liked it
that sounds beautiful, actually...
so you essentially played it in tribute to the recently deceased........how fitting. i really don't understand the big deal here.
+1 for you my friend.
"That was Papa's favorite too". And thus COMPLETELY APPROPRIATE TO THE OCCASION.
If anything, thats a good thing. You played someone's favourite song at their funeral. Man, thats HORRIBLE. :/

If I was his family, I probably would have been touched. So don't feel too bad!
Don't feel bad, I'm sure they will appreciate it a little later. It's okay.
