Don't worry, I'm sure it was a good thing. Like a couple of other people have said, they probably thought it was sweet. I'm not one to cry at funerals (even for my own family), but I'm sure they appreciated it. No FYL needed.
This is not an FML. This is actually nice. They will always remember that you played their loved one's fave song at his wake/funeral/whatever.
I agree with most everyone else, more of an homage and something nice. Who would vote this on the site as an FML??
Today, I went to my grandfather's REPAST and my boyfriend played the song that broke up his 40 year marriage to the love of his life. Everyone sat there in stunned silence and then started to leave. The entire place was empty inside of five minutes, and they now HATE my boyfriend. I really love him. FML. Now THAT'S what would have been an FML.
Sounds like an ordinary day to me. No way this is a FML.

If I was his family, I probably would have been touched. So don't feel too bad!
Don't feel bad, I'm sure they will appreciate it a little later. It's okay.
