Today, my boyfriend took me to his grandfather's funeral. At the reception, his family members insist on hearing me play piano. After getting positive reactions, I dive into one of my favorites, Rustle of Spring. In 2 seconds everyone bursts into tears. That was Papa's favorite too. FML

If I was his family, I probably would have been touched. So don't feel too bad!

Don't feel bad, I'm sure they will appreciate it a little later. It's okay.

How is this even close to a FML? at my grandfathers funeral we had a pianist play all of my grandfathers favorite prices he played every day, we loved it.

wheres the "who gives a shit" button?

This is the opposite of an FML. You scored big points.

Not an FML. His family loves you now!

As others have said, this is no FML. You probably really helped with the grieving process for the family. They will never forget what you did, and may ask you to play it again when they want a fond memory. Good job on the assistance you've given.

I think, you scored points with family on that one. DO not feel bad, you brought to them good memories and showed that you cared enough to know his favorites.
