Well that wasn't very nice of your boyfriend OP. I know plenty of girls who look fine without makeup, myself not included. But you should go on and do what makes you comfortable! Don't listen to him.

Maybe he simply means that you should make more of an effort for nights out and stuff? However if he thinks that generally, then he's not with you for your looks, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

yay double standards for women's appearances in our society :/ either we're diva's, and take SO much time putting on makeup and it's SO annoying but at LEAST we're hot or we're ugly, and desperate, and lucky to have a man at all. Wear no makeup at all- and you're a lesbian or butch. and WHAT exactly does a guy have to do? roll out of bed, put on some old jeans from yesterday that hang off his ass so we can see his boxers, and wear some brand-name hoodie made by some poor kid in Bangladesh--- mmm, what charmers....
