Today, my boyfriend, who's a bit older than me, introduced me to his daughter. I was expecting a toddler. Nope, she's a year older than me. FML

And you're still trying to convince yourself he's only "a bit older"?

how old are you? and how old is your bf?

Admittedly, most young women who go for older men are either golddiggers or girls with daddy issues. With that being said, I've never been attracted to guys my own age - they're immature, silly little boys on the whole. I am neither an airhead or a *****.

You say hes a bit older than you, so, lets say that you're 20 and he's 25. Now, he has a daughter one year older than you, so subtract your age from his, (20-25=5) so your BF lost his virginity at about the age of 5...

Now i might have a 40 in Geometry, but doesn't 20-25=-5? To make yourself sound somewhat smart (@#125) you should have reversed the numbers.

Even if the guy was 12 or 13 when he had the kid, it would be hard not to notice that someone's more than a decade older than you. Unless you were >70.

And he's "a bit older" you say?

How much do you think 'a bit' is, sweets? That sounds like... A LOT

agree! @OP: You absolutely deserve it, already for not giving a thought about a situation like this when dating with men who could be your own father.

yep, gold digger. i cant imagine a woman going for a man her dads age based on his personality/looks etc. forgive the generalization, but lets get real here...
