Today, my brother and I were going to give our parents their anniversary gift which cost us over $3000. The gift was a trip to London in August to see a show on Michael Jackson's comeback tour. FML

Today, I got a call from my parents that they have decided to get a divorce. My brothers and I just shelled out $5,000 each and spent months planning their 50th Anniversary party that was supposed to be next month. FML

Today, I was going to surprise my boyfriend at his family birthday celebration with a $2,000 trip he's always wanted, Ireland. Right before my gift, he had opened his mother's gift, an envelope containing a plane ticket. Guess where it was going? FML

Today, I took my mom out to a fancy restaurant, and spent close to $300 on her Mother's Day present. Later, my little brother drew her a card with crayons on pink construction paper. She cried. He's 20 years-old. FML

Today, after planning 4 months in advance and spending almost $600 to cover everyone's tickets to the event center, all of my siblings decided to bail on my 30th birthday celebration because driving 3 hours is too much. FML

Today, I told my parents that all I wanted for my 18th birthday was to go to a restaurant in NYC for a nice dinner. My parents said no, because it would cost too much money. I came home to see my parents had bought a huge TV for $800. We already have 3 televisions. FML

Today, my son surprised me on my birthday with tickets to a concert I really wanted to see. I was excited, especially since I planned to buy them but couldn't due to the fact it was too expensive. I was ecstatic, until I found out he'd stolen my credit card to buy them. FML

omg, that really is a FYL! i hope you get your money back and that you can find another anniversary gift without too much trouble. RIP MJ --- I believe in showing respect to him since he recently passed on even if he wasn't the best man in the world. his life was so f*cked up but he was certainly one talented man...

Well, you'll get your money back for the tickets, then can't you re-schedule the flights if they dont wanna go to london? I hear they're planning a tribute concert in los angeles in september with tons of different celebs, so maybe if that comes up you can get them tickets to that and take the credit for the london flights to use on LA...if that's possible of course! RIP MJ ='[

Okay, will you all SHUT UP about him "molesting kids" or whatever. first of all, he was found not guilty and the term "innocent until PROVEN guilty" makes loads of sense. btw, you're supposed to comment on the FML. But, that sucks. I'm sure everyones gettin there money back.

my friend bought the tickets too because she was such a huge fan! keep the ticket/frame it. it is now worth a fortune. and if your parents were also BIG MJ fan, they'd probably have a memorial in place of the original concert time. find out more information and go anyways. it'll be a good vocation :]
