Haha ouch. That reminds me of when my father remarked, after my brother had left for college, that it was lonely having an empty nest. I was still in the proverbial "nest".
My mom is like that too, but worse. She would actually mean it. I simply realized a long time ago that we're very different people. She's evil, and I'm not. ;) In all seriousness though, what helped me was realizing that it was simply the way she was, and had *nothing* to do with me personally. She'll never be the mother that she probably should be, but then again I'm not the daughter she wanted either. She's just a really selfish person. Anyway, I got over it. Doesn't mean it can't hurt sometimes, but I simply shrug my shoulders and say 'Yeah, that's her.' and move on. I also recognize that while it is that way, she *does* care. Twice I was in the hospital extremely sick, after moving out, and both times she and my father rushed to my side. I would also be there for her too. And ultimately that's family, people you might not have chosen for friends, and you sometimes don't even like...but you love unconditionally.
That is beautiful #22
noname is default, actually
#24: Uh?
25, What I was getting at is that parents can love their brainy, quiet child who is always reading a book just as much as their outgoing child, who loves the outdoors, and is never seen without a skateboard in hand, loves shopping, and hates book. Saying someone with Type A personality is just like the daughter you never had, when your daughter is type B personality, is a **** your daughters life - unless your daughter is mentally unstable and takes everything is an insult
My mom once told my best friend that she was like the daughter she never had.
#11, it doesn't have to be made up, if you didn't know, that s a very common phrase, and on friends all rachael said was "she told me i was like the daughter she never had"
Hmm. there is actually a profile for a user named "Noname" so maybe some of these people aren't as intentionally stupid as they first seem by thinking Noname is all the same user. Some may have decided to look the person up to make sure it wasn't another term for Anonymous before posting their idiotic reply about Noname's life

You should've wiggled your boobs in front of her face and said, "What the hell do you think these are?"
