Today, my child-hating friend who vowed never to have any no matter what, announced that she's pregnant. I've had three IVF cycles, spent $90k in fertility treatments, and still can't conceive. FML

Today, my close friend who’s always been incredibly vocal about how much she hates children, never wants to be around them or have anything to do with them, stopped speaking to me. She’s incredibly "hurt" that I asked another friend to be my unborn child's godmother instead of her. FML

Today, after years of trying, my husband and I did IVF, fertilized 5 eggs, and the whole process was really rough. Now, a year after giving birth to our daughter, my husband wants to use another egg, but I don’t want to go through that all again. FML

Today, we have three kids. Two were "natural" and our third was through expensive IVF. Of all three kids, only our IVF son turned out to be a real asshole. Now he’s going to jail for armed robbery and pushing a pregnant woman to the floor. Wish we’d saved that IVF money and paid off the mortgage. FML

Today, we recently found out I'm infertile, and I thought we were both devastated, until my partner posted a drunk video to Facebook, basically celebrating that we will never have, "crying, nappy-shitting, soul-sucking, bank account-draining little sods." FML

Today, I told my mom I was thinking of having a baby. She told me it was a huge mistake because children cost a fortune, make you miserable, and if she'd had her chance again she would have gotten her tubes tied when she was 18 and saved herself the grief. Gee, thanks mom. FML

Today, after four years of infertility, my wife and I found out our miracle pregnancy was going to be a boy; our first child. Twenty minutes later, we found out our child has a terminal genetic condition, and will die in the next 4 weeks. FML

Today, despite the fact that we are well off and desperate to be parents, my sister refuses to let us adopt her unborn baby, and intends to “raise him on her own.” We earn twice what she does and have been trying to conceive or adopt for 7 years, and she doesn’t even have a husband. FML

I'm sure she didn't get pregnant to spite you. I, like your friend, vowed I was never going to be a mother. Well, birth control is not 100% effective and I got pregnant. My sister, who was trying was furious. I felt awful for getting so easily what she wanted so badly. And for myself and my child! It was not a happy pregnancy. However 5 years on and I am a good mom and couldn't imagine not being a mom. My sister hates my child and has zero patience with him. I can't imagine her having a child!

Who are you to judge people? the op is not selfish. Having a kid is not selfish, it takes responsability, plus you have to go through morning sickness, mood swings, and the pain of giving birth. She is not jealous, she is referecing that her childhating friend got preggers, while she want's a kid but can't. chile hater + baby =NEGLECT plus she is not a bitch, you are asshole

Just because OPs friend doesnt like children doesnt mean she wont love her own. I have a kid and I love him to bits and would do anything for him but apart from one or two kids of friends i cant stand other peoples kids. Other peoples children for the most part are a pain in the backside.
