Today, my computer stopped working. Me, the technology challenged one, decided to do a system recovery on it hoping that I could make it better. Turns out, system recovery means deleting all the files off the computer including family photos, music and assignments and starting fresh. FML

YOU NEVER PUSH BUTTONS WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW FOR SURE WHAT IT WILL DO! Crap! That is one of the first lessons you learn as a child! Didn't your mom tell you not to touch things that you don't know about? Did you not pay attention?

its possible the OP did not do a system restore like all your ppl are bashing her for, but restored her computer to factory settings

Well that's what happens when you pull stupid ass things like that before asking advice. Idiot.

Dude! That thing has pop-up warnings ALL OVER IT telling you that it's going to delete all of your files. You are not technology challenged. You are too lazy to read.

"System restore does not affect any of your documents, pictures, or other personal data, and the process is reversible." Taken directly from system restore. You're bad, OP. **** yourself.

He/She did a system RECOVERY. When will you people learn to read? 50% of the posters on here are like "FAKE system restores don't do that!" when the OP clearly said they did a RECOVERY.

you are an idiot! "system RESTORE" wat the heck do you think restore means

YDI for being really, really stupid

I did the same thing about 2 years ago. It actually says on the screen that you won't lose any data, which is a lie. =( YLIF.

That's not what it does. You need an eraser disk for that. I don't know WHAT you did, but you ****** up.

There are two options in system restore besides choose a date, and the last restore point. thats to actually do a system restore or restore to factory settings. At least thats what ive always seen
