You must have gone to at least a pretty good school -- from lots of schools, the diplomas are only good as toilet paper. I also had to read this twice to get it. At first, I thought the dad was saying that even after finishing this level of education, the OP's only career opportunity would be as a pen-tester.

It doesn't mean anything anyway. Not like you have to present it to anyone. Just order a replacement. My college diploma got thrown away by accident. Really it's not a big deal.
