Today, my dad decided to clean out my car and "accidentally" threw away my $520 tax refund check. FML

If he kept it I doubt he'd be able to cash it if it has your name on it. If he really did "accidentally" throw it away I'd be "accidentally" making his ass dig through the trash and find it.

Make him pay you $520. Otherwise, never forgive his ass. Hold it against him forever, and when he's old and about to go to a nursing home, send him to a crap place that smells like piss and never visit him.

That sucks, but... shame on you for being that messy that "daddy" had to clean out your car. Obviously you're at least 16 if you have a car. You should be able to, idk, not be a hog.

My mom did this to me once. Threw out a birthday card of mine, with the $50 gift check still in it. It wasn't $520, though, and we found it before the recycling went out (much less messy to search through than trash.)

YDI for being irresponsible with money. That $520 obviously didn't mean that much to you if you're just leaving it sit around in your car. Couldn't you at least put it in your purse or something?

Why yes, of course. They didn't at the very least give the OP shelter, food, warmth, clothes, and I'm sure some luxuries as well, for the first, oh, let's say 20 years of his/her life? **** parents. Reminds me I gotta steal $20 from my mom's purse tonight. #131, you fail at life.

YDI for leaving that much money lying around your car for three months...

That's ok, the government here apparently can't tell the difference between a 0 and an 8, so mine got sent to the wrong address. I called the revenue agency and they mailed a form which I filled out, signed, and sent back. 3 weeks later I got another cheque.

This is why I will not let my car get so junky that it needs to be cleaned out, and my parents will never be left in my car unsupervised.

You have "accidentally" in quotes. You act like he did it on purpose.
