Today, my dad decided to clean out my car and "accidentally" threw away my $520 tax refund check. FML

If he kept it I doubt he'd be able to cash it if it has your name on it. If he really did "accidentally" throw it away I'd be "accidentally" making his ass dig through the trash and find it.

Force him to pay you the money but convince him that it was for $620

YDI for relying on him to clean out YOUR car. It's your car, keep it clean. If you are such a ******* slob that someone else has to take the initiative to clean your car for you, losing a $520 tax refund is the least of your worries.

You're old enough to get tax refunds, but your dad still has to clean your car? YDI

For all these people going "OMG IT'S JUNE WHY DIDN'T YOU CASH IT????": 1. I know several people who haven't gotten their checks yet. 2. You can file an extension on your taxes and not even turn the form in until August. I did this once and got my check in October. So... shut up already.

what does that have to do with the OP? he already had his check, so both of your points are invalid.

YDI. I mean, why are you keeping something worth that much money and is that easy to forge a signature on to cash in the car in the first place?

Uhm..not a big problem..just have them cancel the check and send it again..will take about three or four weeks because they don't like you.
