Today, my dad found out I got a tattoo behind his back and is really really upset. When I got home from work my car wasn't in the driveway. When I asked my dad where it was, he replied "you'll get it back when your tattoo comes off." FML

When you willfully break the rules, don't come crying to FML when you see the consequences.

report the car as stolen. it's your body. unless it's not actually owned by you. then suck up & buy your own

YDI for sneaking around. Act responsible, wait till your 18, then get one. OR, be responsible, TALK IT OVER WITH YOUR DAD then get one with his approval.

If she didn't do it behind his back and actually talked to him, this might not have happened. Who knows maybe she gets horrid grades and he didn't want her getting one until she proved she is responsible enough to get one. We don't know the details.

I had a similar situation happen. My step daughter who is 12 went out and got a tattoo at a friends house. Now of course because of her age she couldn't have a car taken away but her phone

*Sorry, I don't know why my comment cut off before. /= I had a similar situation happen. My step daughter who is 12 went out and got a tattoo at a friends house. Now of course because of her age she didn't have a car to be taken away but her phone and laptop were most definitely confiscated. Kids are still going to go get tattoos at tattoo parties without being of legal age. But whether OP is 18 or not it doesn't matter, parents house equals parents rules. And I'm sure that if OP isn't 18 yet, daddy did buy that car for her which does entitle him to take it away if he sees fit. I am not just saying this because I am a mother but as a child/teenager, when I lived under my parents roof those were the rules for me and they will be that way with my children now. So for future reference OP, don't be so quick and sneaky to make decisions that stick with you for life, you never know what consequences will be waiting for you. YDI.

it's only a tattoo ffs, and more importantly it's your body not your dad's, so you do whatever you want with it and he can **** OFF

My dad is just like this. He told me if I ever get a tattoo he's going to take me out into the backyard and turn the garden hose on me until the tattoo comes off. I'm 23. ...On the other hand, he's 68. Old enough to be my grandpa. lol.

VCH piercing FTW hehehe no one will never know unless am sleeping with the person.

Something to look into: I worked at a costume warehouse one year and saw in the makeup section makeup that was good for covering tattoos. Why not cover it in makeup until you get your car back? And where is the tat? I have one on my upper arm where it is easily concealed.

How about this - when you're not entirely dependent upon your father for your shelter, car, and probably everything else, THEN you can ink yourself up like a ***** despite his objections.
