Today, my dad screamed at me because I've been "spending too much money". He's been out of a job for 4 months and I've been giving him 300 dollars a month to help pay for bills... and his beer. FML

u sound exactly like someone from down here in san Diego lol one of my friends has that happen too that's stupid

I like the British way better and refuse to do it any other way, even though I'm American. It seems so much more logical. Random though: How do the British spell that color that is light black? Is it 'gray' or 'grey'? I like 'grey', but someone told me that's the British way.

your a jerk. he's your dad he supported your ass for like how many years? and didn't say fml.. it's ur parent!! get over it I'm sure it's not for 18yrs lol

She didn't choose to be born. This site has taught me a lot about Americans expecting everyone to be insanely independent from each other.

What parent(s) don't want their children to be self-sufficient? It's a gift that lasts a lifetime.

Probably 99.9% of them. But I've seen a hell of a lot of FMLs which call people whiny or demanding for expecting the smallest thing for free. Self-sufficiency is good, but total indepedence isn't realistic either. It's not a bad thing to rely a little on people or to get gifts from loved ones.

We're talking financial independence here, not emotional. Financial independence is a totally realistic concept, which I assert most parents in every culture want for their children to enjoy as adults. Receiving gifts doesn't factor in to this concept when the adult child doesn't NEED the items for survival.

screw that. I wouldn't give a cent to that bum

lol #34: she just said she doesn't wear makeup except eyeliner. She just has rosy cheeks/lips. I'm the same w/ that makeup routine btw. Eyeliner and lipbalm/lipgloss and I'm out the door. --->
