she prolly meant shoot as in that's a long time to wait, but if she said too late....
that's a bit disturbing....
wow. SEX! this page has suddenly turned into a free advice column on how to talk to your kids about SEX. SEX
Omfg! What's wrong with that question! This definitely isn't an FML! I was thinking of sex since i was 10! Tell her she can think of it, but not do it until she's older.
Maaaan, I'm 25 and still a virgin. What is it with kids these days trying to have sex as fast as possible? I'm gonna go medieval on my future daughter and make her wear a chastity belt. :P
#60: Lots of girls lose their virginity at 12-13 and usually with an 18 year old? Where on Earth did you get those statistics, because I would love to see those findings. (It wouldn't let me reply)
How does that make you a 'good mother'? Exploring sexuality is a part of most healthy teens' lives, and it can help ensure a happy marriage if you know you've found someone you're sexually compatible with. The best you can do for your kid is to tell her about safe sex, about finding her limits and not feeling pressured to do stuff she doesn't want, and stuff like that.
While I agree that having sex at 12 is an utterly ridiculous thing to do, then telling your daughter not to have sex until marriage is too. Of course, if a person chooses to stay "pure" then it's her or his choice, but to promote it is pretty pointless. I mean what if a person doesn't want to get married? Or finds the right one when she is 30? I mean, sex is good, it really is and if you are being responsible then there's nothing wrong with having a little bit of fun. Sex isn't a bad thing and when you are 20 and not married yet but you feel that you want to do it, then why not? Because not only men have needs, women have too ;) But I think that the OP should tell her daughter, that she should have sex, when she feels, that she is ready and that nobody can force her and that 12 is way too early. And talk about SDT's and safe-sex. And hmm... I don't think it's very smart to have a baby at 19 too, but if it's a person's choice and she is mature enough...
Dudee. Chill. She might have just ask. I'm thirteen. It's sex. Chill. As long as you don get pregnant then it's all good. Ask. If you have a decent relationship she will actually tell you if she's had sex that all it takes. But either way if she's hinest do not get mad because that shows she trusts you alot and if you get mad Goethe truth she won't tell you anything ever:) I have experience
Times change...

you should keep a better eye on what your twelve year is doing and who she's hanging around with
@164 - Losing your virginity is a consequence of having sex? Shit I wish I had have known that sooner!!!
