I personally think that even if the mother did teach her about sex while she was younger the daughter would have done it regardless. Kids do what they want these days. Even if the mother hadn't taught her about sex it was probably because she never thought that her daughter would even consider it until an older age. Most parents are in denial about what their kids really do, and just expect the best from them. Movies, TV shows, and even books express how it's okay to have sex. I can see why any kid would want to try it.
