Today, my daughter cried for ages after finding out that Nick Amaro was written out of Law and Order: SVU. She barely reacted when I told her that her mom and I are getting a divorce. FML

She's losing Nick Amaro. She's not losing either of you.

I cried when I heard that too though. Maybe she didn't show her feelings about the divorce, but SVU is an emotional roller coaster of a show that it's hard not to cry when a character leaves.

I haven't watched him much on SVU but I was a fiend for Nick on Cold Case. I watched every episode. That show was so addicting.

Maybe she knew it was coming?? I mean there are signs that a marriage was ending is pretty obvious.

To be honest, that was a pretty emotional episode

sounds like Nick Amaro spends more time with her than you two.

I was the exact same way when my parents divorced, I was 13 and had seen it coming basically ever since I could remember. The only reason I was slightly surprised is I thought they'd wait until I moved out. I wouldn't feel too bad OP, I'd think her anticipating it would be better than her being completely devastated, but maybe that's just me.

Sorry OP but I understand where your baby girl is coming from because Nick Amaro is a beautiful man. Sorry that you and your wife are going through a divorce and I hope everything works itself out in the end.

obviously elliot is best, but without him we only have amaro because tutuola is not a hardass anymore

So you're upset that you didn't ruin your daughter's life? Why would you WANT her to be sad?
