Today, my boss asked me if I know anything about those tattoos that girl put on their lower backs. "You mean Tramp Stamps?" I responded. He looked at me with hatred in his eyes and said that his 18 year old daughter just got one. FML

Today, my stepdaughter proudly showed off her new tattoo. It says "Jace’s place" in sloppy script on her lower belly. She’s 15. Jace is a boy she’s been seeing for 3 months. She got the tattoo in "some guy’s garage." It happened during her weekend visit with her father. Hello teenage rebellion. FML

Today, my daughter proudly showed me her new tattoo sleeve, which is made up of an angry cupcake, hemp leaves, and a My Little Pony character. She's almost 30, still unemployed, and still lives in my home. I now have no hope of her ever becoming a productive member of society. FML

Today, I showed my new tattoo to my friends. It's supposed to be a deep, philosophical quote in Latin, symbolizing strength and resilience. My friend, who happens to be fluent in Latin, started laughing hysterically. Turns out, it actually says, "You are dumb." FML

I'd first give her a dictionary for her to look up the word "irony". I'd then direct her to urban dictionary to look up the term "tramp stamp".

for once I'll comment without haiku. I read Pradip's profile a while ago and realized that English was not his first language so I stopped giving him crap. English is tough to master with all our slang and constantly evolving phrases. If I had to answer in Hindi, my comments would be just as awkward. I have students who are fluent in Eng but still get lost when I make a cultural reference like "tramp stamp" hang in there, Pradip!! most of us on FML couldn't post in Bengali or Urdu so we should shut the hell up!
