Being depressed/suicidal and being emo are totally different things. People think that they go hand in hand and they don't. Op, try talking to your kid and see if anything happened to make her change.

If she's just dressing all emo let her be. If she's actually depressed and cutting herself talk to her. I dressed punk in high school because my school sucked I turned out fine. I use to cut myself before I actually dressed punk. Being how I was gave me a stronger sense of me. I needed to be how I was to not be how I was before.
