Today, my doctor confirmed that the extreme pain I've been experiencing is due to a kidney stone. My friend decided this was the time to tell me that passing a kidney stone is the male equivalent of child birth. Hello even more pain. FML

I know they hurt really bad though I also had to pass two, three months ago try having more than one at a time. My mom was pregnant with my brother and also had three kidney stones, now thats pain!

My mother has had both multiple kidney stones and two 9 lb babies. With the kidney stones, she was hopped up on Tylenol 3's, yet still in so much pain that when she went to the ER, the staff thought she'd just been raped, she was crying so hysterically. **She says childbirth is 50 times worse than that,** but that at least you get a break between contractions, whereas the pain of a kidney stone doesn't let up.

All this arguing is completely pointless. No man can POSSIBLY have any idea how it feels to give birth, and no woman can TRULY know how it feels to pass a kidney stone through a penis. Therefore, there is no definitive way to win this argument. Everyone needs to grow up, because this whole "My pain is worse than your pain" thing is giving me flashbacks to the elementary school playground with little kids yelling things like "My dad can beat up your dad," or "My dog's prettier than your dog!"

Well said, however...while women won't know what it feel like to pee the stone from a penis, we all have a urethra. The tube that allows you to urinate. This tube is roughly the same size diameter, male or female. The pain of passing a stone is similar whether you have a penis or not. I'm just saying that yeah, it hurts like hell, but neither sex has it worse than the other...plus on a personal note: childbirth is way worse, but the result is way better :)

Drinking a couple lemons squeezed into two litres of water, every day, will prevent stone issues.

I think the water still helps pass them easier. My dad had kidney stones, but I was a little tyke, so, I don't remember what you're supposed to do. :p
