Today, my "friends" and I were supposed to go out to eat to celebrate finishing the last day of school, but with a full day of work first, I decided to go buy them donuts. They decided to ditch me while I was gone, and go early. FML

I don't understand why everyone is hating on his friends, by telling him to get new friends, that's what friends do. Everyone gets made fun of, or pranked on. This time it was his turn.

I don't know what world you're living in, but ditching a friend because the whole group is too impatient to wait when they know OP wanted to hang out with them is not a prank. It's an asshole move on all of them. OP made it sound like they had plans, but the friends made other plans when they found out about OP's work schedule for that day. Now if there was communication problems and they thought OP was too busy with work to go with them, then that's just a mistake on their part. Sucks, but to err is human.

This is exactly why a) I dont have friends - people are assholes and b) I always expect the worse. Sorry this happened to you. Hope you keep your guard up from now on, and think twice about making plans with these 'friends'. Id consider, if youre that desperate for friends, to making new friends to hang out with
