either your friends got so wrapped up in keeping it a secret to surprise you and forgot to tell you, or they suck. hope all goes well in the move
This was my original assumption too. It sounds like they forgot, or that one person assumed another person was calling op and the other person thought someone else was doing, etc. Op could've even been out somewhere else by the time the party started and they realized no one called op, and op couldn't get back in time. I hope it's this kind of a situation instead of a purposely not inviting op situation.
The good news is you don't have to be too sad about what you're leaving behind. Enjoy your new adventures.
It's ok OP, a party with a bunch of dicks that don't care about you anyway forget em!
How did you even find out about that?
friends O.o
May want to evaluate you choice of friends!
I've experienced something similar to this, OP, and chances are they will contact you somewhere down the line acting all cheery like they miss you. Just tell them to go **** themselves when they do.
they're not real friends
You're the man of the hour, go crash their party!

I feel like this has happened to way too many people..
In your new town, you get to start anew. Keep an open mind and enjoy the new experiences. I hope it's better than where you are now. Good luck!
