Today, my family staged an intervention and demanded I go to rehab. Why? My mom found 'drug papers' in my car. It was a receipt from a routine drug screening for my job. It was also over two years old. FML

Today, my friends staged an intervention. I'm not on drugs, I'm not an alcoholic, and I own my own house. My car is paid for and my job pays well. Apparently, I need an intervention because my life is not where they want it to be, which involves me being married with children. FML

Today, after six months of dating, my girlfriend decided to break up with me because my "obsession" of being on the computer and playing games all the time was cutting into "our time". She then told me to "get a life" and never wanted to see me again. She told me all of this on WoW. FML

Today, my parents staged a family intervention and gave me the grandest bollocking I've ever experienced in all my 22 years of life. They did this because my sister showed them a photo of me jokingly posing with three bottles of Bud Light at a party. Apparently, I'm an alcoholic in denial. FML

If your parents AND your girlfriend felt you needed an intervention, then you are spending far too much time gaming. It is an addiction just like drug abuse. Time to take their advice, get some help, and get a life. A real life, not an on-line life.

I love how everyone automatically thinks he is a loser. we don't even know how much he plays every day, some people think 2 hours is excessive, some would say 6 hours. I think he needs rehab for being a pally though :)

People just overreact when they hear "world of warcraft", face it, you're all soccermoms, I bet you would believe that pacman will make you children eat pills, if they said it in the news. And guys, if he was playing too much or was addicted, why in god's name would he have a girlfriend in the first place, think about that. And people, Call of Duty is a good game? I feel sorry for you, wen I played CoD:MW2 for 15 seconds, I realized that I'm actually playing the first one again.

i never played wow or cod but I have played runescape (I quit, it was hard to, as I was very addicted), and I can tell you from experience, that it is very tough to quit something you are addicted to. I now play tap tap 3 alot, but I study hard, get good grades and do lots of sports to stay healthy. Trust me OP, quit the game, and you won't regret it

Wait, you got addicted to Runescape? May God have mercy on your soul. If you can ignore those god aweful graphics and horrible gameplay, lack of story, and get addicted to such a horrible wannabee game, yhen you're sad :/ Who ever said the OP is addicted, prolly his GF is overreacting.
