You have no idea how she said it, she very well could have still worded it in a politer way. While yes there are many people with learning disabilities that would not have made this kind of comment, there are also lots of different learning impairments of which you don't know what she has. Maybe connecting the dots is hard for her or she's becomes confused a little easier... if she took the correction calmly and wasn't actually as rude as you assumed I don't see the issue.

Read it again. It doesn't exactly scream "but she said it in a nice way." To use having a learning disability as a cop out for that is just insulting. There's a difference between having more of a struggle and being stupid. You can't fix stupid
