No, you and your boyfriend borrow loose change based on a mutual (though possibly unspoken) agreement. I was raised that if I ever needed something that someone else had, I always ask. It doesn't matter if it's my mom, my sister, my boyfriend, or a stranger on the street. He probably doesn't care about the 75 cents, kist that she didn't ask him about it and then broke up with him over it.
