Boy: Your pet rock is stupid. Girl: Down boy! Sit! No, heel!! *rock hits boyfriend in face*
Did she then throw the rock at your head, and say "rock attack"?
Dude, how can you not take that seriously?
Uh oh, you're the girlfriend aren't you? :O
No, my pet rock is dead.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I don't understand all these fml's that complain about crazy girlfriends/ boyfriends breaking up with the op. if they are crazy, wouldn't you be relieved? anyone who takes a pet rock that seriously (or seriously at all) probably has some mental issues.
I agree. Just be glad you dodged the bullet on the crazy girlfriend OP.
If they were dating the person, they probably had feelings for them at some point. And even if the other person has their quirks, it's still hard when a relationship ends, either because you really did care about the person or because you feel like an idiot for having been so wrong about them. What annoys me is when people say "you should feel this way" or "a rational person would feel this way." People feel what they feel, not what someone else thinks they should feel. Feelings aren't supposed to be rational. That's why they're called feelings, not "thinkings".
22 - Maybe the girlfriend was perfect in every other way? It's possible that the pet rock thing was her only flaw.
Due to a mental disorder I have, I tend to personify things and wind up far too attached. For example, I care very deeply about a certain sweater I have, even though I know it's stupid to feel this way. That being said, my girlfriend and I have been together a year and a half and in no way has my disorder affected our relationship. I don't hide it from her and she doesn't judge me for it. I feel bad for OP's ex, honestly. If she has anything like the disorder I have it sucks knowing people will judge you for it. No, it's not rational, and no, it doesn't make any sense, but it's there and it's not going away. You deal with it the best you can.
It sounds to me like she did you a huge favour. Do you REALLY want to be someone who has a pet rock?
