Today, my girlfriend freaked out, thinking she might be pregnant due to her period being late. I found myself reminding her that one actually has to have had sex recently to become pregnant. We've been living together, sexless, for over a year. FML

She's probably not cheating, just scared why her body isn't behaving like it should. When your period is late or you feel oddly ill, pregnancy is one of the things that pop into most women's heads without any reason or logic. It can take a while before you settle and realize why it's impossible. Pregnancy is after all a serious thing, so rather be scared one time too many than suddenly having a child you didn't want...

Lets be fair here. If a guy came to his girlfriend scared that he might have some STD because it burns when he pees... Sexless girlfriend isn't going to say "oh silly, its a UTI, you couldn't have gotten an STD," she's jumping straight to "WHO DID YOU CHEAT ON ME WITH!?"

But if he said anything about pressing her into it or encouraging her to have sex if she didn't want to, y'all would be defending her passionately saying he's obnoxious and needs to give her respect and space until she's ready. I've seen dozens of those comment threads. I, personally, am with everyone else: FYL. Maybe she's just using you because living with you is convenient.
