Today, my girlfriend of two years broke up with me so she could "let her life flow in the direction she wants." Apparently that includes smoking, stealing and making out with other girls at parties. The best part? She wants to get back together "after she matures and gets it out of her system." FML

Good for her! She's been with you for two years and it sounds like it's time for a growth spurt involving exploring her sexuality and various mind altering substances. I think everyone should do this. How should she know that you are "the one" if she hasn't explored other options and seen if single/lesbian life if more appealing to her? Many people get married and discover later that they are aren't even attracted to the opposite sex. I think this is one hundred percent a positive move on her part and by not supporting her you are just distancing yourself from her and setting yourself up for a ruined relationship. You should do the same! Embrace exploration and play!

Jagger is an idiot. I can see him saying, "oh well, my girlfriend cheated on me but at least it was with one guy, it could've been two." OP, do not allow her back in your life. hey i did the same thing... broke it off with my boyfriend then went crazy in europe, even made out with a few chicks... i think it was the right thing, if you never do anything for yourself then you'll just end up resenting your significant other! i'd get back with him now, but he hasn't changed at all... i feel like i've had so many new experiences and figured out who i am since we broke up, but he hasn't done anything new...

By this reasoning, every guy on Earth should be allowed to cheat on their SO to avoid 'resenting' them later on. Flawless logic. It is possible he hasn't 'done anything new' because he already knows who he is, and doesn't have to go crazy and make out with random people to feel fulfilled in life. There is nothing wrong with doing things for yourself in a relationship, or in life. However if you must leave someone to do those things, you have no right to expect them to either wait around, or reconnect with you after you tire of whatever it is that made you leave. Break it off and tell them to move on. If they aren't important enough to you for you to to stay, you aren't worth enough to them for them to wait.
