Today, my girlfriend tearfully complained that I was smothering her to death with my clinginess, and that I should learn to respect her boundaries. This is after she complained I wasn't giving her enough attention. FML

Today, my girlfriend of over a year broke up with me. Two weeks ago she complained that I didn't act like I really loved her. I then became more involved and caring just for her to show my love. The reason she broke up with me? Because I was "suffocating her with clinginess." FML

she's probably cheating on you. no attention - seek it elsewhere. to make it seem she's not, she complains. then she realizes she can't sext her new guy with you being affectionate... - she bitches about it. or maybe you need a shower and she didn't wanna tell you. :))
