Happend the other way around to me, this guy thinking we were together. Don't know which is worse... Life lesson learned: always ask someone to be your boyfriend/girlfriend and don't just assume you are in a relationship. Communication is quite important, as it seems.

People need to be more clear about their intentions. I've been on at least 2 'dates' where the guy didn't actually ask me out, it was just 'coincidence' that none of the other people invited could make it.

Op is a girl, and as two girls together usually get into "dating" situations even as friend, ie kissing and dates and calling each other girlfriend, I could see how this happened
