Today, my girlfriend told me that she is pregnant. I asked how it could be possible, since she's on birth control. She said she didn't know her antibiotics would interfere with it. She's a pharmacist. FML

Just because she's a pharmacist, doesn't means she's a good one.

Or or or she just wanted to get pregnant?

I don't know if she should be trusted sorting out other peoples prescriptions

Is she blonde? (No intended hate towards blondes)

My mom got pregnant with me on birth control so that could of happened as well if she wasn't on antibiotics

I use hormonal birth control yet had a doctor try to prescribe antibiotics for mild acne. I didn't remember about this interaction til I got home. I declined to take this Rx and told him so the next time I saw him. He said, "Oh, antibiotics don't have *much* of an effect on birth control." Well, it is up to me to decide if I want to accept that risk or not - especially to treat something superficial! Just because I am married does not mean you can assume that I'm cool with an accidental pregnancy.

Is your wife the one who didnt like to take her antibiotics so you had to slip it in her food?

taking antibiotics or not, birth control taken exactly as it is prescribed is not 100% effective. Don't act like you didn't know how babies are made. If you didn't want a kid then you should have used a rubber.

First off, using a rubber IS also a type of birth control and is also not 100% effective. Without adding the stupidity of using anti-biotics, the pill is just as effective as a rubber...

There isn't really anything in this fml to suggest that he wasn't wearing a condom. Condom's aren't 100% effective either, so there's not really a way for us to know that he wasn't wearing one. Plus, some couples choose to use other forms of birth control instead of condoms. The pill is actually more effective than condoms (the pill is over 99% effective if used properly and condoms are 98% effective if used properly), so there goes your point.

I'm only a pharmacy tech I knew that! Well congrats anyway!
