Today, my girlfriend who lives in China contacted me and told me she'd been harassed by a guy and was thinking about pressing charges. The guy is someone I know from college - he promised me he would say "hi" to her for me while he was in Shanghai. FML

"hi"="love you long time" :-D

I like how people here think it's WAY more likely for a girl to be so shitty and dramatic as to cry wolf about sexual assault than it is for a man to be perverted and cruel enough to sexually assault her. Bullshit like that (automatically favoring the man) is why so many girls are too afraid to bring their attackers and rapists to court. What a sad world we live in. I definitely read this as the friend saying he'll "say hi" as a sick hint / euphemism.

The question is, is the dude a perv or the girl just uptight?

you should have clarified- the word "hi" not, "iiiiiooooooaaaaaHI"

Your girlfriend in China? No offense, but I'd call that a fail.
