Today, my husband and I were talking about names for our expectant child. I told him since I named our daughter he could name our son. He's decided on a name from 'God of War'. My son is going to be named after a make-believe cartoon character - Kratos. FML

i dont get the "i name one kid, you name the other" mentality. why dont you just work together to find a name you both like?

"Make-believe cartoon character"?! Whoa whoa whoa, you've gone too far, there. Besides, it's a totally cool name, you must admit.

Kratos is NOT a fictional character its not like they put a bunch of letters into a hat and randomly draw them and quite persoanally i wouldnt mind haveing a name that ment strength http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cratos

F your sons life. That's going to really suck come middle and high school.

I agree with #156. Personally I don't see how a guy naming a child after a video game character is any different then women naming their children after day time soap characters or stars (which a lot of women I know have done). Personally I like the name Kratos and I think that's pretty awesome. Then again I plan on naming my daughter after a video game character (and I'm a woman if that makes any difference).

Greek (????????, IPA: [e?lini?ka] or ???????? ??????, IPA: [e?lini?k?i ??lo?sa]) is an Indo-European language native to the southern Balkan peninsula, the language of the Greeks. It forms an independent branch within Indo-European. It has the longest documented history of any Indo-European language, spanning 34 centuries of written records.[4] In its ancient form, it is the language of classical Ancient Greek literature and the New Testament of the Christian Bible. In its modern form, it is the official language of Greece and Cyprus, and spoken by a total of approximately 20 million people (first language for ca. 15 million), including minority and emigrant communities in numerous parts of the world. It is written in the Greek alphabet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_language

Kratos was named after Cratos, who was Zeus's enforcer on Olympus. He was the god of strength, and his name means, literally "strength" or "power." While you might not be thrilled about naming the child after a video game, the name has quite a bit of history behind it.

What the **** is wrong with a Greek name? bastards

If you're Greek it works. Kratos Konstantinos (your last name)

I know men should make all of the decisions in life (being purposely controversial and not serious btw)...but why wouldn't you reject the name?
