why not name him "martin"? The meaning of the name Martin is Servant Of Mars, God Of War for baby names :P he gets his god of war and you get a nice name...
Ugh... At least it's not boring like the name... Kevin. I give your husband credit for being creative. I probably would have ended up naming mine Axel or... something after something I liked. Kratos is actually a good name. It's a creative one.
Also, if your kid doesn't like the name, he can change it. I speak from experience - my parents named me after a character from Dante's Inferno (which they hadn't even read). Hated it as a kid so I've gone by my middle name since I was 9 (which is after a famus tennis player).
Kratos is the sexiest character in the whole game! you should be honored!
Kratos is a TITAN from Greek Mythology, the personification of Strength... also the brother of NIKE (Victory), BIA (Force) and ZELUS (Zeal), the son of STYX(the river in the underworld, also if you swear an oath by STYX then you are to fulfill that oath or you die) and PALLAS (also a TITAN to do with war)...Kratos or Cratos(I learned it with the C but I have seen it with the K) was sorta the lapdog to Zeus, Zeus would set a death sentence or punishment on someone and Kratos would see it through, he is the one that helped tie Prometheus to the rock after Prometheus gave fire to mankind... I think it is a marvelous name if you know the story behind it and not just that it is from a video game... but then again most people won't know its from Greek Mythology they will assume the game...
hehehehe... sounds familiar. If my wife didn't have her miscarriage 2 years ago I also could have a little KRATOS.
Never let the dad have final say on the name. His part is easy. You're carrying the kid for nine months and giving birth - you definitely earn your two cents. I feel like, that considered, it's more understandable for the mom to pick one name - which the dad has a veto on, if he hates it - and after that you pick one together. Or, if you disagree with my view and you want to let him pick the name, you at least get a veto as a parent, just like he should have when you picked the name. YDI for giving up your right to an opinion, and if you're doing it because you wouldn't give him any say over the name of the first child, YDI even more for being selfish.

i dont get the "i name one kid, you name the other" mentality. why dont you just work together to find a name you both like?
"Make-believe cartoon character"?! Whoa whoa whoa, you've gone too far, there. Besides, it's a totally cool name, you must admit.
