That was probably the worst way to word that, I get the vibe that you're hoping OP will miscarry/the child will die after birth. I'm pretty sure that's not the case, but that's how it sounds.

I think they are thumbing it up because both points make sense - it it obviously meant in a 'i hope the nightmare stops' way but it is true it could be read in a more morbid sense.

Well, congrats on the pregnancy, OP. He'll come around when he sees that sweet baby, hopefully, and if not, there are many successful single parents out there. Perhaps a discussion, when he is fully conscious, is in order!
