Today, my math teacher brought his laptop to tally up all our scores for our report card. He then displayed the results on a big screen in front of the whole class. The ones who failed were marked yellow. I was the only one marked yellow. FML

Today, disappointed with my results on a mathematics test, I went over it and realized my teacher had added up the marks incorrectly, leaving me with 17% less than I earned. The person who's supposed to be teaching me math can't even perform basic arithmetic. FML

Today, as I went into my calculus class, the teacher announced that someone had received a negative grade on the test we were getting back. I laughed and said, "Which f*cker managed to get a negative?" Turns out I'm the dumbass. FML

Today, a few people in my class used calculators on the math final exam, even though it clearly stated at the top that they weren't allowed. The teacher found out, and now everyone has to retake the 200-question exam. I didn't even use a calculator. FML

Today, the grades for one of my courses were released. The class average was higher than that which the department allowed, so the professor had to scale everyone's marks down to meet the policy. I ended up failing because my class was too smart. FML

Today, my math TA showed the class how one of her "dumb" students answered a test question. Everyone laughed as she wrote out the students answer, including myself, until I looked down at my answer sheet and saw that I submitted an identical answer. FML

Today, I got my results on a recent, important midterm. During the exam, I'd noticed my instructor had accidentally left an answers page in the test packet, so being honest, I didn't look at them. It turns out she did it on purpose to help us pass. I failed. FML

I hope your teacher knows that that's a breach of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). You can report him to the administration.

idk why my earlier comment didn't show up, but since I don't want to type everything out again. @ 7,9,11 the fml never said anything about who got what. all it says is the teacher tallied up the scores. and if there was only one person who got the yellow mark, and OP knows that he failed then he probably just inferred that he was the only that failed, which would be correct. and wow my comment is just as long as before but in different wording haha

How insensitive! Especially when there was only one person failing. You could easily get them into serious trouble for that. I suggest speaking with the principle.

That was a horrible thing for him to do. I would suggest having a word with him about displaying everyone's results, and if he continues, speak to the principal or get your parent to complain.

Normally, if a test is designed well (so that not everyone passes), a small percentage of people will do very well, a small percentage of people will do very poorly, and the majority will do somewhere in between. I understand how it is not to be able to grasp certain concepts (I am by no means a math person), but it's unlikely that the OP is so far behind the rest of the class if he's exerting enough effort.
