kind of late, but i would've snapped at the teacher. i have people close to me that do jobs similar to that, and if someone said that doing a job like that is meaningless they'd receive hell from me. All jobs are worth something, that teacher needs to stfu.

"If you don't pay attention in school,you might just get a career that is vital to our society." It's so dumb how people "rate" jobs. If there were no carpenters,no trash men,no manual laborers,our society would fall apart. And society treats them horribly.

It's kind of funny because roofing involves a lot of math. I.E finding the area of the roof to get the right number of shingles etc.

My father had the same job. There's nothing wrong with a man who works his ass off to support his family. Btw my dad is a college graduate.
